Juan I. Apoita took part as a speaker in an event held in Madrid by a client company of the Firm, where he delivered a session focusing on the importance of regulatory compliance and the consolidation of a principles-based corporate culture.
During the session, he addressed the role of Compliance as a tool for corporate prevention and protection, highlighting the importance of integrating legality, transparency, ethics and responsibility into the day-to-day activities of organisations.
He also shared some of the key considerations involved in developing and implementing a Compliance system and a Code of Responsible Business Principles, conceived not only as tools for preventing and managing risks, but also as a means of strengthening companies’ trust, reputation and long-term sustainability.
